The Brief
DFDS has achieved impressive growth in recent years, underpinned by a comprehensive and impactful business strategy spanning operations, customer and employee engagement, sustainability and more.
To mark this growth and success DFDS was keen to enter several industry awards. Having previously entered awards with limited success, DFDS appointed Make More Noise in 2024 to utilise the team’s expertise and experience in compiling winning entries.
The Strategy
On commencing work with Make More Noise, DFDS asked the team to enter four industry awards for its UK cold chain activities to showcase the impressive growth and results this part of the business had achieved.
Focusing on highlighting DFDS’ commitment to operational excellence and overarching growth, together with its unrivalled dedication to exemplary customer service, Make More Noise worked closely with the DFDS team to compile detailed award entries to showcase the business’ strengths.
DFDS was shortlisted for all awards entered and won seven overall, including the Business Excellence Award and Operational Excellence Award at the Motor Transport Awards, and the Logistics Leader of the Year and Road Transport Operator of the Year at the Logistics UK Awards.
The Outcome
Thanks to this success DFDS is continuing to work with Make More Noise in 2025, where activity has now progressed to cover all aspects of the DFDS UK logistics network.
Building on 2024’s winning streak, DFDS has already been shortlisted in four categories and has won three awards at the Cold Chain Refrigeration Awards, including Refrigerated Transport Operator of the Year and Business Climate Initiative.
