Astwood Group is a technology company with an environmental conscience. Dedicated to using innovative design and engineering to challenge the status quo and advance sustainable living, its vertical farm, Vertivore, also aids the production of craft ale, through sister brand, Lab Culture.

The Brief

Astwood Group appointed Make More Noise in early 2019 to cover impending maternity leave and to represent its PR and Marketing department.

As new brands, both Vertivore and Lab Culture had little presence within their respective industry sectors, which meant the Make More Noise team had to create and implement an entire PR and Marketing strategy that directly engaged with relevant target audiences.

The Strategy

Make More Noise created two separate PR and Marketing strategies: One that focused on positioning Vertivore as a new, emerging and innovative brand within the vertical farming space, and a second that focused on increasing awareness of the Lab Culture brand and product offering within the hospitality and retail trade, as well as directly targeting consumers.

The Outcome

In maximising as many relevant PR and Marketing channels as possible, whilst dovetailing the brands’ business development strategies, Make More Noise has successfully increased awareness and resulting engagement in both brands.

Make More Noise continue to work with the Group and have recently celebrated broadcast coverage across BBC News and BBC Midlands Today, which resulted in a visit from their Local MP, inspired and excited by the information provided through the footage.
